Event overview
The Lake Vyrnwy event is a trail, multi-terrain race of approximately 10k set around the Lake Vyrnwy estate. The route stays on private land in Llanwddyn and includes a mix of fast footpaths, grass, stony sections and short stretches of tarmac. The course features climbs and fast downhill sections and offers views over the lake; the exact route is not published because it is on private land. Finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers. Minimum age for entry is 16 years.
Practical information
The race start and finish are on private land in Llanwddyn and are a short walk from the parking area. Parking is managed on site, is a short walk from the start/finish arena, and costs £3 per car (cash). Organisers plan to provide water stations at about 4k and 6.7k on the route and also near the start and finish areas; runners are encouraged to bring a suitable bottle.
