La Garita 200
La Garita 200 is a new 200 mile race held in southern Colorado in the La Garita mountains. The event uses a large loop course that starts and finishes at the same location in South Fork, CO, with a short out-and-back section of a few miles to connect the loop.
The route begins on the banks of the Rio Grande river near South Fork and reaches elevations just under 13,000 feet. The course travels through arid pine forest, over alpine tundra, and down into expansive mountain parks before returning over tundra to South Fork.
