Kokoda Challenge Brisbane

The Kokoda Challenge Brisbane is a team endurance event held on 13 June 2026 in D'Aguilar National Park, with the start and finish at Brookfield Recreation Reserve. Participation is by teams of two to five people; solo entries are not accepted.

Available distances:

  • 18 km, minimum age 9, 9 hour time limit, 1 checkpoint
  • 30 km, minimum age 10, 12 hour time limit, 3 checkpoints
  • 48 km, minimum age 13, 20 hour time limit, 6 checkpoints, support crew allowed

The course follows fire trails and bush tracks through Brookfield and includes steep hills and creek crossings. Course maps may be subject to change due to council requirements or trail conditions. Event parking will be available near the start and finish, with limited spaces.

Teams must meet a minimum fundraising target before event day and pay a registration fee that varies by team size and distance. Support crews are strongly recommended for the 48 km event to provide food, fresh gear and first aid at designated checkpoints.

The event raises funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation and recognises the values and sacrifices associated with the 1942 Kokoda Campaign. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
