Bayside Backyard Ultra 2026
Bayside Backyard Ultra takes place at Bayside Park on the Esplanade in Manly, Queensland on 12 December 2026. The event follows the backyard ultra format: runners complete a 6.7 km loop each hour and must finish the loop before the next hour begins.
The event is capped at 12 laps, so completing every lap results in a total distance of 80.4 km. The course runs along the Manly foreshore and participants line up each hour to start the next loop.
This is a self-supported event. There are no aid stations on course; participants should provide their own supplies from a base at the Race Centre. Recommended items include a chair, an esky with food and fluids, spare socks and clothes, sunscreen and a hat, and a mobile phone which must be carried on course. Public water fountains are available along the route but runners should carry what they need while running.
All athletes must be at least 18 years old on race day. A registration fee of A$50 applies for the entry window shown on the event page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
