The 37th Kilburn Kanter
The event is a long distance challenge walk organised by LDWA - North Yorkshire. The route covers 24 mile with approximately 3,500 ft of ascent through the Hambleton Hills. A time allowance of 10 hours is stated for completion.
The start and finish location is Kilburn Village Institute, with named checkpoints on the route at Cold Kirby Village Hall, Tylas Farm Barn, Hawnby Village Hall, Boltby Village Hall and Sutton Bank car park. Grid references are provided for the start, checkpoints and finish.
Entry is limited to 200 participants and there are no entries on the day. Entry fees are listed as LDWA members £13.00 and non members £20.00. The entry fee includes a certificate or badge and refreshments available throughout the event. Participants are asked to bring a mug to use during the event and to take their rubbish home for disposal.
Entries open on 22 June 2026 and close on 15 October 2026. SiEntries refunds are subject to a £2.00 handling fee and no refund is available from 1 October. Dogs are not permitted on the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
