Kaslo Wild Ultra
Kaslo Wild Ultra takes place in Kaslo, British Columbia on July 10, 11 and 12, 2026. The event offers single-day stages and multi-day options including the Full Wild Challenge (85 km) and the Half Wild Challenge (32 km).
Distances:
- 10 km - Lake Stage: 150 m elevation, mix of single track and wide gravel trails, about 1.5 km road.
- 53 km - Mountain Stage: 2400 m elevation, rugged single track, includes road and logging sections.
- 22 km - River Stage: 528 m elevation; single-track riverside and rainforest trails to Strawberry Ridge.
The Mountain Stage includes four aid stations and two water stations with drop bag support. This is a cupless event so runners must carry hydration. Mandatory items for the 53 km include a hydration pack or bottles, a rain jacket or emergency blanket, and a phone. A headlamp and bear spray are recommended; many of the same items are suggested for the 22 km.
All distances start and finish at Kaslo Bay Park and race packages are picked up there. Courses are marked and runners must check in at each aid or water station or face disqualification. The event emphasizes nature, community, sustainability and inclusion, and enforces environmental and course etiquette rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
