Jungfrau-Marathon Interlaken
The Jungfrau-Marathon event in Interlaken offers several running competitions over a multi-day program. The main event is the marathon distance on Saturday, while several shorter races and specialized runs take place on Friday and throughout the year.
The following distances are available:
- 42.195 km (Marathon)
- 4.4 km (Harder Run Race with 755 m elevation gain)
- 4.2 km (Minimarathon Fun Run)
- 4.48 km (Lauberhorn Run with 1028 m elevation gain on snow)
- 200 m - 1600 m (Minirun for children and youth)
- 200 m - 4.4 km (Pararace for inclusion)
The Harder Run Race leads from the Höhematte in Interlaken up to the Harder Kulm. Participation is open to adults and youth from 10 years of age, with a limit of 250 starting places. The entry fee includes timekeeping, baggage transport (up to 5 kg), a return trip by the Harderbahn funicular, and a pasta party. The Lauberhorn Run is held in March on the snow-covered World Cup downhill course.
For the main marathon, 4,000 starting spots are allocated. The event features a Marathon Village with an expo and a pasta party for participants.
