IRON HORSE Endurance Run - January 2, 2027
The IRON HORSE Endurance Run is a multi-distance ultrarunning event in Paris, Texas, held along the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT). The event features point-to-point course layouts, including a point-to-point 100K and a near point-to-point 100-mile.
Surfaces include dirt, gravel, paved trails, roads, and sidewalks. The course is described as generally flat, with elevation gain listed as about 1000 ft for the 100K and 2000 ft for the 100-mile. Support and rules noted for participants include fully supported aid stations, warming stations, photography, and several crew access points. The event does not provide disposable cups; participants must bring their own water-carrying system. Only one pacer per runner is permitted and pacers are allowed only in the last half of each race. Ruck weight requirements are 30 lb for runners over 150 lb and 20 lb for runners under 150 lb; ruck sacks or vests are allowed.
Shuttle tickets to the 100K and 100M start lines are available with registration; participants may also arrange their own transportation. Finisher recognition includes a custom engraved plaque with a built-in buckle holder and an authentic railroad spike pulled from the NETT.
