Event details

The Hyner View Trail Challenge takes place April 18, 2026 at Eagles Nest in Hyner, PA. The event offers the following distances:

  • 25K
  • 50K

The 25K field is limited to the first 1,000 entrants and the 50K to the first 400 entrants. The 50K is part of the Rocksylvania Trail Series.

Course and logistics

The 25K course includes three major climbs and three major descents with about 4,000 feet of total vertical. The 50K course includes five major climbs with about 6,500 feet of vertical and features recent course changes. The terrain includes single-track trails, vistas, and stream crossings. The site has no on-site electricity or running water; participants are asked to fill hydration before arriving. An ice trailer will be available near the registration area.

Rules, cut-offs, and spectator access

The event has a strict no-refund, no-deferral, no-transfer policy and enforces a zero-tolerance registration stance. Both distances have hard cut-offs at specified mile markers; runners who miss those cut-offs may be directed onto the shorter course or removed. The course is remote with limited spectator parking. The only spectator-accessible aid station for the 25K is Hyner View State Park (mile 4). For the 50K, spectator access is available at Hyner View State Park (mile 3) and Hyner Run State Park (mile 10 and mile 25). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
