Fire on the Rocks 10K
The Fire on the Rocks 10K takes place at Zindel Park in McElhattan, PA on March 13, 2027. Organized by PA Trail Dogs, the event is a trail race listed at roughly 10 km and described on the course as about 6.6 miles in length.
The course uses local trails that are also used for the Frozen Snot and Boulder Beast events. Runners should expect a route with multiple climbs and descents and about 1,400 feet of total climbing spread across the 6.6 miles. Named sections on the course include Reservoir Road, Keller's Bench, Black Diamond, Debbies Drop, Gorge Trail, Lightning Ridge, Final Cut, Creekside, and Durty Dabbers among others.
Parking is at the Restless Oaks parking lot (119 Pine Mountain Rd, McElhattan, PA). Shuttle buses run between that lot and the start/finish area, and it is also possible to walk about a half mile up Reservoir Road to the park. Bib pickup is available on race morning. After the race there will be sticky buns and drinks at the pavilion.
