Trail Running in Tiadaghton State Forest
The Slate Run Trail Race takes place in the remote mountains of the Tiadaghton State Forest in Pennsylvania. The event features a course that utilizes sections of the Black Forest Trail, specifically traveling through the Algerine Wild Area and Red Run. Participants navigate a landscape characterized by technical single track paths, stream crossings, and various vistas.

- Half Marathon
Both distances follow the same trail for the initial 9 miles. At the Manor Fork camps, the routes diverge. Participants in the half marathon follow a road section toward the final aid station and the finish line. Those completing the 25 km distance continue along a streambed and ascend the Old Supply Trail.
The event is held at 153 Yoder Lane in Slate Run. Organizers have established a field limit of 225 participants. Course regulations include a time cut-off at the 9-mile mark at the Manor Fork cabins. Participants reaching this intersection after the designated time are directed onto the half marathon course to complete their run.
