The event is scheduled for Sunday, 28 December 2025 at the Acresford Sand and Gravel site, Forest Road, Huncote, Leicestershire. The race uses a cross-country course described as undulating and includes Croft Hill and the stream. The start and finish are at the Acresford Sand and Gravel site, not at Huncote Leisure Centre. Maximum entrants are 400 and minimum age for the main race is 18 years.

Entry, rules and facilities

Adult entries open 30/11/2025 and close 21/12/2025. Transfers are permitted up to 23/12/2025; no transfers are allowed on the day. No refunds or deferrals are offered. Race numbers are collected on the day from the registration tent.

Parking and toilets are available on site; there will be no showers. Junior entries are taken on the day only and cost £1. The junior races use the same start and finish location as the main race; older children may run the shorter junior race if they wish. The organiser is Huncote Harriers. Headphones, ear buds, bone conductors or in-ear devices are not permitted unless for medical reasons. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Join the 99th Leicestershire and Rutland Cross Country Championships on Saturday 3 January 2026 at Rotherby Lodge Farm. Races from age 9 to masters promise fierce county rivalry and club team competition over varied courses.

Run a fast, accurately measured 10K at Northampton Racecourse Park on 11 January, three laps of scenic pathways with trophies and a bespoke medal. The family friendly race supports Umbrella Fair Northampton and accepts on the day entries.

Take on the Charnwood Hills Race on 1 February 2026, a scenic but testing 14.5 mile fell route through Bradgate, Broombriggs and Beacon Hill with rough underfoot and about 1,200 feet of climb. Entries are limited and pre entry is required.
