Event details

This is a cross-country race described as a low-cost, no-prizes event. The main course is 10K, undulating, and includes Croft Hill and a stream. The start and finish are at the Acresford Sand and Gravel site on Forest Road, Huncote, Leicestershire, the same location used the previous year and near Huncote Leisure Centre. The event has a maximum of 400 entrants and a minimum age of 18 years.

Junior races

  • 1 lap - Primary school age children
  • 2 laps - Secondary school age children

Junior entries are taken only on the day and cost £1. Junior races use the same start and finish location as the adult race.

Entries, transfers and facilities

Online entries are now closed; the event listed an entries close date of 21/12/2025. Transfers are currently closed. No refunds or deferrals are allowed. Race numbers are collected on the day from the registration tent. Parking and toilets are available on site; there are no showers because the leisure centre is not being used.

Rules and restrictions

Headphones, ear buds, bone conductors or in-ear devices are not permitted unless used for medical reasons. No dogs are allowed on the course. An in-person 8 km trail loop around Calke Abbey nature park, meeting at Ticknall Village Hall Car Park. Organised by Run 4 U and Perform Running Club, with free parking and refunds available up to one day before the event.

A 5k, 10k and junior race at Sixfields Stadium in Northampton on Sunday 31 May 2026. The start and finish are inside the stadium and the route continues on closed roads around the town.

A six hour lap based event from Braybrooke Taproom on well surfaced trails along the Griffin Trail and Brampton Valley Way, with free parking, onsite toilets and a taproom for post run refreshments.
