Hardesty Hardcore

Hardesty Hardcore takes place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Hardesty Trailhead west of Oakridge, Oregon. The event offers two trail distances:

  • 14 miles
  • 5.5 miles

The 14 mile course starts and finishes at the Hardesty Trailhead and is entirely single-track. It climbs approximately 3300 feet in the first 4.5 miles, descends about 3300 feet over the next 4 miles, and then has rolling terrain for the final 5.5 miles. The 14 mile event has a four hour time limit.

The 5.5 mile course starts at the South Creek Trailhead and finishes at the Hardesty Trailhead parking lot. It is 100% single-track with gradual ascents and descents and technical footing. Participants in the 5.5 mile event are transported by shuttle from the Hardesty Trailhead to the start; there is no parking at the 5.5 mile start.

Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte beverage, and light snacks at the following points: 14 mile at 3 mi, 4.5 mi, 8.5 mi, and 12 mi; 5.5 mile at 3.5 mi. Trailhead parking is limited; available roadside parking is along the shoulder of Goodman Creek Road facing north on a one-lane forest service road with pull-outs.

Entry fees are $50 for the 14 mile and $40 for the 5.5 mile, with a $5 deduction for youth 17 and under and adults 60 and over, and a $5 day-of registration fee. Tech shirts are available for purchase. The event has a participant limit due to parking, shuttle capacity, and single-track trails.

Hardesty Hardcore is the fourth event in the Run Big Trail Series. Awards are given to overall male and female winners and the top three in each age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
