Gumby 10K and 5K
The Gumby trail runs take place on Saturday, January 23, 2027, at Granite Beach in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The event uses a well-marked trail course along the lake shore with aid stations and volunteers placed along the route.
Finisher medals for the Gumby races are being offered in 2027. Race shirts are available for pre-order and cost $20.
Distances
- Gumby 10K: 6.2 miles
- Gumby 5K: 3.1 miles
Aid stations are located on the course at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, and 5 and provide cold water, FLUID Electrolyte beverage, and CLIF Shot energy gels and Bloks. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed; runners must exercise caution when crossing roads and remain attentive on trails.
Packet pickup is held on race morning at the race site. Entry fees vary by registration date: 5K fees are $45 until 11/1, $50 after 11/1, and $60 on race day; 10K fees are $45 until 11/1, $55 after 11/1, and $65 on race day. Shirts are not included in entry fees and must be pre-ordered to be available on race day.
Awards include Overall Champion Awards for first place male and female in the 10K, plus three-deep awards in ten-year age groups for both races. For 5K events, athletes under 19 are split into two age groups: 14 and under, and 15 to 19. Custom race plaques are awarded three deep in each listed age group and division.
The organizer maintains a no refund policy. Refunds requested before race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers to another event are allowed within one year for a $25 fee. Events are held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
