The Gumby 10K and 5K
The Gumby Trail Runs take place on Saturday, January 23, 2027 at Granite Beach in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The event offers two trail distances run along the shores of Folsom Lake on a well marked course with volunteer support.
Distances
- Gumby 10K: 6.2 miles
- Gumby 5K: 3.1 miles
Aid stations are located on course at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, and 5. Each station supplies cold water, FLUID Electrolyte beverage, and CLIF Shot energy gels and Bloks. Gumby finisher medals are noted as returning for 2027.
Race shirts are available for pre purchase for $20 and must be pre ordered to be available on race day. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed, and runners are asked to exercise caution at road crossings and while on trails.
Packet pickup is on race morning at the race site. Awards include first place overall male and female and three deep awards by ten year age groups for the 10K. The 5K also awards first overall male and female plus three deep in each age group, with youth split into 14 and under and 15 to 19. Custom race plaques are awarded three deep in each age group and division.
