Course and event details

The course runs entirely on a 10-mile section of beach from Surfside to the San Luis Pass. Sand conditions vary: soft sand near the top of the beach and harder packed sand nearer the water. The event description provides specific course formats: the 5K is a 1.55 mile out-and-back, the 10K is a 6.2 mile out-and-back, the half marathon is one 10-mile loop plus a 1.55 mile out-and-back, and the marathon is one 20-mile loop plus a 3.1 mile out-and-back.
