Gulf Coast Grind takes place on April 18, 2026 at Surfside Beach, Texas. The event offers multiple distances for participants running or rucking along hard-packed sand at the waterline. The field is capped at 400 runners.

The course follows the shoreline on packed sand with out-and-back sections and looped formats for the longer distances. There are two full aid stations located at mile 5 and at the start/finish area. Aid stations are stocked with drinks including water, Gatorade, electrolyte mix, sodas such as Coke and ginger ale and possibly orange soda; sweets and salty snacks; PB&J, bean burrito rolls, fruit, and some Texas style items. Medical supplies and feminine care products are available. The event is cupless; participants are encouraged to use reusable cups, bottles, or hydration packs.
Drop bags can be left at the main aid station on a tarp and will be taken to the mile 5 aid station. Distance changes are allowed online until the Wednesday of race week; later changes must be handled in person and may be restricted if a distance is sold out. Pacers are not permitted for this race.
All participants receive shirts, medals, and swag. Awards are given to top finishers by gender and non binary category, with top placings also recognized among ruckers and masters 50+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
