The Grizzly Peak Trail Run takes place at Lake Anza in Tilden Regional Park, Berkeley, CA on May 9, 2026. The event offers the following distances:

Parking at the start/finish is free. Drop bags are available for the 30K, Marathon, and 50K. T-shirts are given to pre-registered runners and all finishers receive a custom medal; 50K finishers also receive a custom coaster. Overall top three male and female finishers at each distance receive monetary race credits ($50, $35, $20). Age-group top three finishers receive medals.
Course, aid and logistics
The course starts at Lake Anza and runs through Tilden Regional Park. Surfaces include single-track trail, dirt road, and some asphalt. Elevation gain ranges by distance (for example, the 10K shows 1,060' and the 50K shows 6,760'). The route is marked with ribbon about every 200 yards; polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons mark wrong directions.
Aid stations are fully stocked about every 3 to 4 miles with fresh fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; runners should bring their own fluid container. Chip timing uses MyLaps Bibtags and results are published regularly. Headphone use is restricted on single-track and at road crossings.
