Run Bibbulmun Track Stage Race
The Run Bibbulmun Track Stage Race is a three-day trail running event held along the Bibbulmun Track in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Based in the coastal town of Denmark, the race features point-to-point stages through ancient forests and along the Southern Ocean coastline. The event is designed for solo runners and offers two distinct course options to accommodate different distances.
Participants can choose between the following course options:
- Karri Long Course: Includes daily stages ranging from 33 km to 39 km.
- Tingle Short Course: Includes daily stages ranging from 17 km to 24 km.
The route passes through notable natural landmarks such as the Valley of the Giants, Conspicuous Cliffs, Peaceful Bay, and Greens Pool. The race uses a centralized logistics model where athletes return to Denmark each evening. The organizers provide bus transportation to the start lines and from the finish lines of each stage, allowing runners to participate with or without a personal support crew.
The event is limited to a field of 300 solo runners. The terrain consists of a variety of surfaces including white sand beaches, granite outcrops, and forest trails. Enrollment typically opens in April for the October event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
