About the race
The Grand Raid de La Réunion is a multi-day trail running event held on Réunion Island from 15 to 18 October 2026. Races cross a variety of island terrain, from coastal sections to mountain summits, with routes that begin around La Ravine and finish at La Redoute.
The event programme includes several long-distance trail races with significant elevation gain. Distances and elevation gains listed for the main races are:
- 180 km, 10 200 m elevation gain
- 160 km, 8 460 m elevation gain
- 106 km, 6 200 m elevation gain
- 74 km, 3 800 m elevation gain
- 51 km, 2 500 m elevation gain
