Goose Creek Trail Run & Hike

Event overview

The Goose Creek Trail Run & Hike takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2190 Camp Leach Rd, Washington, NC 27889. The event is held in an NC State Park and includes timed trail events. All finishers who register in time will receive a sustainable wood medal. Last day to order a race shirt is October 23. Limited group tent campsites are available by request. Food will be provided at the finish line. Top three male and female overall receive custom awards; first place in each age group wins a prize. All 50K participants receive a pair of socks. Professional photos and video will be taken on site.

Courses and facilities

All distances run on trails that include boardwalks, Spanish Moss, and multiple views including a beach. The organizer notes the terrain is barely rolling with minimal hills and that trail distances are not exact: the 10K is a little long and the half marathon a little short on most watches. The start and finish are at the back of the park near the river beach access.

Course formats: the 10K is one loop with one paved road crossing; the half marathon is two loops with two paved road crossings; the 50K is four loops with out-and-back sections, four paved road crossings, and access to the Palmetto Boardwalk. Aid: the 10K has one water-only station; the half has two water-only stations and one full aid station; the 50K passes restrooms, a water fountain, water-only and full aid stations across its four loops.
