The event comprises multiple distances:
- 50 km KCD Ultra marathon
- 42 km Kalgoorlie Chiropractic marathon

- 10 km Retravision fun run or walk
The first edition was held in 2013 as a small event testing the course. In 2014 the finish line was moved to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Golf Course so the course could be completed off road. In 2020 the 50 km ultramarathon was introduced and the finish line was moved to the Ray Finlayson Sporting Complex. The events have been held annually since then.
