G.O.A.T. 5K - Johns Island

The G.O.A.T. 5K is scheduled for April 25, 2026 at The Goatery at Kiawah River in Johns Island, South Carolina. This is the sixth annual trail 5K held on the Kiawah River property, which covers more than 2,000 acres of land.

Events include a main 5K and a kids category for runners age 10 and under. The 5K is a chip timed trail run on a natural course. Walkers are permitted. All terrain strollers are allowed but should start at the back. Dogs are asked to remain at home.

The event is presented as 100 percent eco friendly. Each participant receives a race trucker hat and finishers receive a farm fresh plant in lieu of medals. Overall and age group awards include fresh farm produce and goods from local farmers. After the race there will be biscuits, coffee and a farmer's market offering farm fresh produce and specialty goods.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Blue Sky Endurance in Mount Pleasant and on site the morning of the event. Net proceeds from the race support the Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund, a local nonprofit that partners with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
