Glentress February Trail Races take place on 15 February 2026 at Glentress Peel Visitor Centre, Peebles, in the Tweed Valley Forest Park. The event is organised by High Terrain Events. Registration opens 17 November 2025. Briefing notes will be available to download about 5-7 days before the event. All routes will be fully marked.

Distances offered:

  • 42 km Trail Marathon - two circuits of the 21 km route, 1,500 m of ascent
  • 21 km Trail Half Marathon - route includes Tower Trail and Black graded MTB sections, 750 m of ascent
  • 10 km Trail Run - mixed trail terrain, 330 m of ascent
  • 5 km Trail Run - new distance for 2026

The courses use forest trails including forest walks, woodland singletrack and moorland. The 21 km route climbs to the top of Glentress Forest and includes panoramic viewpoints. The venue is between the towns of Peebles and Innerleithen and is described as about one hour's drive from Edinburgh. Entry fees are listed per distance and include an additional booking fee. Mortonhall local orienteering on Saturday 6 December offers courses from short junior loops to a challenging green 5.6 km course, across estate and campsite terrain. Advance entries recommended to guarantee a waterproof map.

Take on the Harmeny AC 7R Multi Terrain Half Marathon on 7 December 2025, a rugged winter course around Harlaw and Threipmuir reservoirs with trails, rocks and bogs. Limited to 140 runners and now closed to entries.

Don your festive kit and join the Santa & Elf Dash at Cammo Nature Reserve for fun 1K, 5K and 10K trail runs through riverside paths and historic woodland. Medals, hot chocolate and charity collections add seasonal cheer.

Join the Wobbly Christmas Pudding 13 km trail run around scenic Melrose for a festive, hilly challenge suitable for varied weather. Limited to 150 places so sign up early for a fun seasonal outing with fellow runners.
