About the race
Glentress Winter Half is a trail race day held at Glentress Peel Visitor Centre near Peebles (EH45 8NB) on Saturday 14th November 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 21 km Half Marathon
- 10 km Trail
Routes are fully marked and described as using a mix of forest singletrack, mountain bike trails (blue, red and black), woodland paths and open moorland. The 21 km route includes about 900 m of ascent and reaches a high point of 572 m; the 10 km route includes about 393 m of ascent and reaches a high point of 508 m. Time limits are stated as 5 hours for the 21 km and 3 hours for the 10 km. The 21 km course is provisional and may be subject to change.
Hydration stations are planned: two on the 21 km and one on the 10 km. Named locations include Spooky Wood and Tower Rig. Organisers note that aid stations may be moved or removed if freezing conditions occur and that no cups will be provided, so participants should carry personal hydration and nutrition.
