The Ghostly Gallop Trail is a 5K trail race held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Milton, Vermont. The course runs at Arrowhead Golf Course on the Laura's Tears trail. The event uses a Halloween theme and was previously known as "The Hills Are Alive."
Logistics and rules
Pre-registration opens December 29, 2025 and is available online. Day-of registration will be open from 8:00 to 9:15 AM. The pre-registration entry fee is $15; GMAA members subtract $5 from that fee. The race is open to runners aged 12 and older; runners under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race.
Post-race refreshments will be provided. Two porta-potties and handwashing stations will be available. Prizes will be awarded to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers overall, and additional prizes will be distributed by raffle. GMAA/insurance rules prohibit running with a baby jogger or dog. For safety and courtesy, the use of headphones is strongly discouraged. Participants and visitors are asked to be aware of other runners and spectators when entering and exiting the race area.
