Gede Pangrango Ultra Marathon (GPUM)

Gede Pangrango Ultra Marathon is a series of trail races held in Gede Pangrango National Park, Cibodas. The event features multiple ultra and long trail distances across mountainous terrain and alpine meadows, with routes that pass Surya Kencana Edelweiss Park, Mount Gede summit, Kandang Badak, Mount Pangrango summit, Cibodas Botanical Garden, Selabintana and other park points.

Distances and main limits:

• 60 km: ~5610 m elevation, 4 ITRA/UTMB points, 20 hour limit
• 47 km: ~4260 m elevation, 2 ITRA/UTMB points, 15 hour limit
• 27 km: ~2200 m elevation, 1 ITRA/UTMB point, 9 hour limit

Entry requires participants to be at least 18 years old on race day. Additional qualification rules require finishing races that earned the stated number of ITRA or UTMB points between 01/01/2020 and 30/04/2026. Young entrants aged 18 or 19 need parental or guardian permission.

Participants must be prepared to run through long mountain sections, varied weather, and physical fatigue and to manage problems on their own. The organizer may use photos, video, results, and articles for publicity. Registration fees vary by category and by early bird or normal rates; fees include registration, race kit items such as BIB and vest, personal insurance, route services and a conservation donation. Early bird registration ends 31 DEC 2025 and final registration closes 25 MAY 2026. The organizer will not accept entries after the due date.
