Gede Pangrango Ultra Marathon is a set of trail running races held in Gede Pangrango National Park, Cibodas. The event takes place on mountain trails and passes through landmarks such as Selabintana, Surya Kencana Edelweiss Park, Mount Gede summit, Kandang Badak, Mount Pangrango summit, Mandalawangi Edelweiss Park, Cibodas Botanical Garden and Mount Putri. Routes include steep and technical sections and substantial cumulative elevation gain.

Distances and time limits for the main categories are:

  • GPU 60K 60 km, 5610 m elevation gain, 20 hours time limit
  • GPT 47K 47 km, 4350 m elevation gain, 15 hours time limit
  • GPF 27K 27 km, 2290 m elevation gain, 9 hours time limit

Entry requirements specify a minimum age of 18 on race day; participants aged 18 or 19 must have parental or guardian permission. Registration requires ITRA or UTMB points earned between 01/01/2020 and 30/04/2026: GPU 60K requires 3 points, GPT 47K requires 2 points, and GPF requires 1 point. Participants must be self-reliant in mountainous conditions and able to manage weather changes, fatigue, minor injuries, and navigation on their own.

Enrollment fees vary by category and by early bird or normal registration. Fees include registration, race kit, personal insurance, services at checkpoints and a conservation donation.
