Full Montycute 10 Trail Race
The Full Montycute 10 is a hilly trail race organised by Crewkerne Running Club, scheduled for Sunday 6 December 2026. The race normally takes place on the first Sunday in December and has run annually in early December.
The route is on trails around Ham Hill and has varied over the years. Historically the course measured about 10.2 miles with ten hills. Organisers are revising the route to use a new finish venue, which may increase the distance and add an extra hill. Measured and proposed distances include:
- 10.2 miles historical length
- 10.6 miles measured on a proposed variant with 1699 ft ascent
- 10.5 to 11 miles possible depending on path closures
Entries for the 2026 race will be handled via Race Nation, with entries not opening until 1 September. In recent years the event has reached its entry limit before the race date.
Logistics have varied while a new Ham Hill centre is built. The finish venue may change between the new centre and the Ranger Station depending on availability. Parts of the route can be muddy and subject to path closures from tree felling, landslides, or maintenance; some sections run on open access or permissive paths. The organisers have used a cupless format in past years and have provided multiple drink stations and on-course catering from a local farm.
Event surplus has been used to subsidise club activity and kit, and donations have supported local groups such as Friends of Ham Hill and Tinkers Bubble. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
