Frosty Mountain Ultra 2026

The Frosty Mountain Ultra takes place in Manning Provincial Park, British Columbia, centered around the Lightning Lake area. The event offers runners the opportunity to traverse alpine meadows and reach high-altitude points within the Fraser Valley.

Participants can choose from three distinct race distances:

  • 50 km : This endurance route follows the Similkameen Trail, climbs toward Windy Joe Peak, and reaches the summit of Frosty Mountain at 2,426 m (7,959 ft). The course includes a traverse of the Skyline Trail and Strawberry Flats.
  • 27 km : This route follows the Similkameen Trail and climbs to the summit of Frosty Mountain, the highest peak in Manning Park, before descending through meadows and switchbacks back to the lake.
  • 13 km : A shorter sprint distance that stays on undulating forested trails surrounding Lightning Lake and Flash Lake.

The high point of the courses at the true summit provides 360-degree views of the surrounding wilderness. For the 50 km event, a time cut-off is enforced at the 27 km mark (aid station #3). Race packages are available for pickup in the days leading up to the event in North Vancouver and at Manning Park Resort. The race concludes with the finish line closing in the early evening.
