The Freycinet Peninsula trail runs take place on 21st June 2026 at Freycinet Peninsula. Two circuits run simultaneously in a clockwise direction. Distances offered:
- 11 km Hazards circuit via Wineglass Bay and Hazards Beach
- 29 km Mt Graham circuit via Cooks Beach and sections of the peninsula
The entry fee is $70 per person. There is an entry cap of approximately 200 runners. Registrations were reported as full for 2025 with no waiting list.
Course, rules and equipment
The 29 km course includes about 29 km of track and beach sections. Parts of the course are rough underfoot and are marked only with cairns in some areas. Walkers are not permitted on the 29 km circuit. Entrants for the 29 km distance must provide evidence they can complete the course in under 5:30 hours.
Compulsory equipment for the 29 km loop includes: a thermal top, a space blanket, water (bladder or bottle), food (energy bar/gel/chocolate bar), a head torch, a phone and a roller bandage. A waterproof top and additional warm clothes such as a beanie and gloves are suggested. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
