Fresh Legs XC Open & Fun Run
The event is a multi-race cross country meet held at the LCU Cross Country course in Lubbock, Texas (2611 Frankford Ave). It includes three separate races on the same course and sends 100% of event proceeds to the Lubbock Area Elementary Running program.
Distances offered:
- 3 Miles - cross country race, open to ages 12 and up.
- 1 Mile OPEN - open to all ages and ability levels, including walkers.
- 1 Mile Elementary - for children age 11 and under only, no adults allowed.
Awards vary by race. The 3 Mile will award medals to the top three overall male and female finishers and top three in multiple age groups: 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The 1 Mile OPEN will award medals to the top three overall male and female finishers. The 1 Mile Elementary will award medals to the top three overall male and female finishers and to age groups for 7 and under, 8-9, and 10-11.
Course notes: the 3 Mile uses the green loop around the lake first and then continues for the remaining two miles as shown on the course map. The 1 Mile course is a single loop around the lake starting next to the finish arch.
