The Thrill In The Hills trail run takes place at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia on February 14, 2026. This is the 19th annual running of the event. Course, aid stations and race services
All courses begin on a short road section before entering wooded trails. Terrain includes rolling hills, single track, double track, roots and some technical sections. The 50K course is composed of two 13.1-mile laps plus a 5-mile loop. The 21K is a single 13.1-mile lap. The 5 Mile course uses about 0.25 miles of road before joining single track. Relay teams must have each person complete at least one leg; the relay exchange area is located near the Nature Center Pavilion.
Aid stations are positioned at approximately 1.5 miles (Wil-A-Way road crossing), 5.05 miles (near cabins and campground host), 9.65 miles (primitive camping area) and 13.1 miles (just outside the Nature Center Pavilion). Entry fees vary by distance and registration period: 5Mi $40–$50, 21K $60–$70, 50K solo $90–$110, 50K relays $115–$145. Race services include chip timing, course aid stations, tri-blend shirts, and finisher mugs for 21K and 50K. Medals and prizes are awarded to top finishers and age-group places; winners must be present to receive medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
