Dirty Spokes Thrill In The Hills
This is an annual trail running event at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia presented by Chateau Elan. The event offers multiple course options and both individual and team entries for the longest distance.
Distances include:
- 50K (available as solo or relay)
- 21K
- 5 Mile
The 50K has an 8.5 hour race cut off. Runners who complete the 50K or 21K will receive a custom hand crafted clay Dirty Spokes Thrill In The Hills finisher coffee mug. Awards are given to the top three in each category across a range of age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus, plus Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters for both male and female divisions.
Location details note Fort Yargo State Park at 210 S Broad St, Winder, GA 30680, Entrance A. When entering the park, pass the guard shack and continue to the first stop sign near the new visitors center; start, finish and registration are located in the RV parking lot. Georgia State Parks requires a parking fee of $10.00 per car or a yearly pass. Parking is limited for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
