The Formosa Spiked Apple 5k is a timed run and walk event held at Formosa Winery in Kissimmee, Florida. It takes place on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Participants choose their start time at registration.

Course Information

The course starts and finishes at the winery. It is a two-lap route, with most of the distance on paths and some sections on grass. A virtual participation option is available. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online.

Registration and Awards

The race is open to participants aged 1 to 98. Registration includes a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle opener, a t-shirt, a race bib with chip timing, a shatterproof collapsible glass, a homemade cider donut, and a pour of cider. Minors receive a discounted registration that excludes the glass and cider pour. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each category, which are available for pickup on the day of the event. The age groups are: 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over.

Event Logistics

Packet pickup is available on race day only, starting one hour before a participant's chosen start time. The venue features a vineyard and fruit orchards, offers a wine tasting experience, and has a country store. It is located near Walt Disney World and Margaritaville. The event has a charity partnership with Florida Boxer Rescue.

Additional Notes

Dogs on leashes shorter than six feet are permitted. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven terrain. Children in strollers can participate for free.
