The event has clear operational policies. Entries are not refundable; instead race credit is issued on a sliding scale before the original event date. Runners who start but do not complete their registered distance are recorded as DNF for that distance. Course cutting, unsportsmanlike conduct, or rule violations may result in timing penalties or disqualification. Race rules include no littering, no stashing supplies on course, leashed animals, and notifying aid stations if withdrawing. Trekking poles and leashed dogs are allowed.
