Fleet Feet Fall Classic Trail

Event overview

The Fleet Feet Fall Classic - Trail is scheduled for October 18, 2026 in Chico, CA at the South Rim Trail Head / backside of Bidwell Golf Course. The event offers two trail races:

• Half Marathon
• 4 Mile Endurance Challenge

Both races start on the south side of Upper Bidwell Park and use single-track trails that include a creek crossing and a finish through Yahi and the golf course. Registration is available online and in-person packet pickup is held at Fleet Feet Chico on October 16 and 17. A tee-shirt cutoff date is September 17, 2026; shirts are adult unisex sizes only.

Course, logistics and rules

The half marathon features about 1,600 ft of climb in the first half and an all-downhill second half. The 4-mile event uses a 4-mile loop that can be repeated each hour for up to eight hours; every other lap reverses direction and completing eight loops is approximately 32 miles. 4-mile runners must complete each loop in under 60 minutes to start the next loop. No pets, no strollers, and no on-course pacers or crews are allowed. Parking is available at several lots near the start, and a bike valet service will be provided.

Aid stations and awards

There are three aid stations for the half marathon and two for the 4-mile challenge. Aid stations and the start/finish area will offer water, electrolytes, and nutrition items. Awards are given to top finishers in the half marathon and to top finishers in the endurance race; age-group awards are listed for the half marathon.
