Fleet Feet Arizona Trail Race

Vail, United States • 1 Feb 2026

Event overview

The Fleet Feet Arizona Trail Race is the 19th annual running of an eight-mile trail event held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Colossal Cave Mountain Park in Vail, Arizona. The start and finish are at La Posta Quemada Ranch inside the park. The field is limited to 250 runners and transfer of registration is not allowed. Trail-specific running shoes are strongly recommended.

Course and logistics

The course follows the Arizona Trail on single-track trails. The route is marked with directional signs, mileage markers, and course monitors. There are four water station crossings at approximately 2.5, 3.5, 5.5 and 6.5 miles, and bottled water at the finish. Porta-potties are available in the start/finish parking area, with additional men’s and women’s bathrooms at La Sevilla Campground near the 3.5- and 5.5-mile points.

Timing, awards and rules

Timing uses chip timing on the back of the bib; the bib must be worn on the front of the body. All participants receive a finisher medal. Age group awards use five-year increments (10-14, 20-24, etc., up to 80+). Overall male and female winners are determined by gun time and are removed from age group awards. Headset devices are not permitted and may result in disqualification. Runners are asked to keep right, allow passes on the left, and be mindful of trail surface hazards.
