Fleet Feet Arizona Trail Race

Vail, United States • 1 Feb 2026

Event overview

The Fleet Feet Arizona Trail Race is an annual trail race held at Colossal Cave Mountain Park in Vail, Arizona. The event features a single 8-mile course that starts and finishes at La Posta Quemada Ranch. Registration is limited to 250 runners and transfers of registration are not allowed. Trail-specific running shoes are strongly recommended. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Timing is by chip timing on the back of the race bib; the bib must be worn on the front to receive an official time and to qualify for age-group awards. Age groups are in five-year increments, with 80+ as the last group.

Course and logistics

The course uses single-track sections and is well marked with directional signs and mileage markers. There are four water station crossings at approximately 2.5, 3.5, 5.5 and 6.5 miles, plus bottled water at the finish. Porta-potties are available at the start/finish parking area and there are restrooms at La Sevilla Campground near the middle sections of the course. Race rules prohibit headsets; wearing headphones will result in disqualification. Runners are asked to run on the right, allow faster runners to pass on the left, and avoid cutting the course. The race address is 16721 E. Old Spanish Trail, Vail, AZ 85641. Price listed for the event is $60. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
