Farm to Farm Ultra : Freeport, ME
The Farm to Farm Ultra is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, with the start and finish at Wolfe's Neck Farm in Freeport. The 2026 race uses a new course on Wolfe's Neck Center trails and neighboring Freeport Conservation Trust trails, including Brew Woods and Whippoorwill Woods. The route has no pavement and runs on dirt roads and trails with multiple bridges, many stairs, and exposed roots.
Distances offered:
- 50 Miler
- 30 Miler
- 30 Miler 2/3 Person Relay
- 10 Miler
- 10 Miler 2 Person Relay
The course is a loop of just over five miles with about 570 feet of climb per loop. Solo runners complete multiple loops: the 50 mile option is ten loops, the 30 mile option is six loops, and the 10 mile option is two loops. There is a single aid station at the start/finish area that is passed each loop; campground bathrooms and water sources are also available. The aid station provides no disposable cups so runners must carry their own.
Registration closes Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. To receive the non-technical long sleeve shirt entrants must choose the registration option labeled with with shirt(s) and register by September 4, 2026. A virtual event option is available.
Race day registration and bib pickup are held at Wolfe's Neck Farm for all competitors and relay members; relay members must be present at the race start to hear instructions and participants should bring ID. Only 50 mile runners may have a pacer, limited to the final three loops; pacers must sign a waiver and obtain a pacer bib. Adaptive athletes may have a guide for the entire event; guides must sign a waiver and obtain a guide bib. Wheelchair and handcycle participants are not permitted due to terrain.
Course markings use repurposed corrugated plastic signs and pin flags. Runners should follow flags on their right through Freeport Conservation Trust trails; markings in the first campground are likely on the left. Markings may change and will be noted in pre race announcements.
Awards are given to the top two overall male, female, and non binary finishers in the solo 10 mile, 30 mile, and 50 mile events. If an event lacks enough entrants for all award slots, extra pies will be sold with proceeds donated to race beneficiaries Wolfe's Neck Center and Freeport Conservation Trust.
