EpicTrails - Guided Run

EpicTrails is hosting an 8km guided run titled "Hunting out more trails by head torch," designed for runners eager to explore local trails. The event begins at Milngavie Train Station and follows scenic routes along the Clyde Coastal path and West Highland Way. Participants will be accompanied by qualified guides, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

The runs are social in nature, with regrouping points along the way, and are not competitive races. A head torch and trail shoes are mandatory for safety. A scenic event at Monachyle Mhor Hotel on 26 April 2026 featuring a *10K* race and a *1K* fun run, chip timing, three water stations and medals for all finishers. The route mixes tarmac and trail through Loch Doine and Monachyle Glen.

A 5.8 km hill race on 29 April 2026 with 229 m of ascent, limited to 150 entries and a £8 fee that includes the landowner charge. The route is mostly runnable with one short steep climb and mandatory minimum kit.

A guided 10 km trail run from the Forth and Clyde Canal around Bishopbriggs, Torrance and Kirkintilloch. Social group run with a qualified guide; trail shoes required and dogs and under 18s are not permitted.

An annual 20 km hill race in Strathyre, Perthshire, with over 5000 ft of ascent that reaches the summits of Ben Each and the Stuc a' Chroin. The event includes a licensed bar and a free ceilidh after the race.
