Emperor's Challenge

The Emperor's Challenge is a renowned mountain race held in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, within the UNESCO Global Geopark. Celebrating its 25th year in 2025, the event features a challenging 20 km half marathon on Babcock Mountain, with a summit at 11 km and an elevation gain of 610 meters. The race starts at over 4000 feet elevation and ascends to more than 6100 feet, offering a demanding course marked with orange stakes and kilometer markers.

There are three water and first aid stations along the route. The event also includes kids' races of 2 km and 4 km distances.
