The Elephant Challenge is a timed running event held at Salcey Forest, a Forestry England site located near Northampton. - 5k distance (one partial lap)
- Half marathon (3 laps plus an additional out and back section)
- Marathon (7 laps plus an additional out and back section)
- Ultra distances (80k or more is possible within the time limit)

Salcey Forest features an on-site café and toilets. The location is accessible via the M1 motorway and is situated 18 minutes from Northampton. Public transport is available through the number 33 bus, which stops inside the forest.

The event is open to participants aged 16 and over. Specific registration options are available for canicross runners who wish to run with their dogs on short leads. The event also supports rucking. Finishers receive a medal, flapjack, and a drink, though participants may opt for a tree token instead of a medal to have a tree planted in their name.
