East Texas Ultra
The East Texas Ultra is a trail running and rucking event held at Mineola Nature Preserve (1860 Co Rd 2724, Mineola, TX). Distances offered are:
- 50K
- 28K
- 14K
- 7K
- 7K RUCK
The course runs on pine forest trails at the Mineola location. Distances use loop formats: the 50K is seven loops, the 28K is four loops, the 14K is two loops, and the 7K is one loop. The event is cupless; water refill stations are provided for personal bottles and cups. The course is fully marked and supported and includes aid station food and hydration.
Finisher gear and awards include an East Texas Ultra T-shirt, collectible finisher medals (50K medals carry a 50K inscription), a special patch for ruck finishers, and 1st place awards for male and female winners at each distance. The 50K awards include Dead Freakin' Last recognition and Top 7 male and female placements that qualify for the Big Texas Ultra 100K Championship near Austin with a chance to win thousands of dollars and the Big Texas Ultra Champion title.
The event is part of the Texas Ultra Series; finisher medals from each race combine to form the State of Texas and completing all series races earns a wooden case for the medals.
