The Donald Dash Trail Run takes place at Donald County Park, Mount Horeb, Wisconsin (Pop’s Knoll entrance, 1945 Highway 92). It is the first race in the Savanna Series trail runs. The event offers two race distances and has a participant capacity of about 300. Entry fees on the event page are listed at $35 for each distance.

Course, support and logistics

The course includes prairie, single-track, sandy sections, slick bridges, and hills. Aid stations on course provide energy drink, water, and energy food. The event uses chip timing and publishes race results and course photos. Awards include overall male and female, age-group awards, prizes and door prizes, and a cash payout for new course records. One hundred percent of net proceeds are donated to the Friends of Donald Park, with funds earmarked for trail maintenance and repair. Parking is limited at the Pop’s Knoll entrance.
