Do It In The Bush 5K & Fun Run

The Do It In The Bush 5K is a cross-country running event organized by the Port City Pacers. Held at Chickasabogue Park in Eight Mile, Alabama, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Port City Pacers Scholarship Fund. The race features a trail-based course through the park's natural terrain.

The 5K course is a cross-country style route that traverses the various trails within the park. The Fun Run covers approximately 3/4 mile and takes place on a paved trail. Registration is available for both Port City Pacer members and non-members, with specific pricing tiers for adults and children aged 12 and under.

The event includes an awards ceremony following the races. Decorations are presented to the top male and female overall finishers, as well as winners in Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), and Senior Grandmasters (60+) categories. Awards are also provided for the top male and female walkers and the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 9 and under to 80+.
