South 32 DnD Outback Adventure Run

The South 32 DnD Outback Adventure Run is part of the Dirt n Dust Festival in Julia Creek on 17 and 18 April 2026. The event uses outback style obstacles placed in and around the Kev Bannah Oval and surrounding areas. Obstacles are optional and described as "challenge by choice", so participants may climb, hop, jump, crawl or run around them. Runners can expect an average completion time of about 45 minutes per 5km lap.

Course options include:

  • Dusty Kids Obstacle Challenge, approx 2km, ages 5 to 10
  • 5km course, one lap, ages 11 to 13; 14 to 17; adult 18+
  • 10km course, two laps, adults 18 and over
  • 15km course, three laps, adults 18 and over

Entry fees vary by age and distance, from AUD 30 for Dusty Kids to AUD 100 for the 15km event. Top three men and women in each race distance receive prize money in specified age groups. Race packs include an ankle timing chip, a Dirt n Dust shirt where sizes are limited, a visor and a drink bottle. Event headquarters are at the Kev Bannah Oval, Julia Creek Combined Sporting Association building, corner of Julia and Shaw Streets.
