DirtRun In The Dark - Race 1

DirtRun In The Dark - Race 1 is an evening off-road running event held at The Wyre Forest, based at the Callow Hill Visitor Centre in Kidderminster. The course is set entirely within the forest environment, utilizing various tracks and trails after sunset.

The event features a single distance consolidated into two laps of the forest trails:

  • 10 km

Participants navigate the route in dark conditions, making the use of torches a compulsory requirement for all runners. The event is open to individuals aged 14 and older on the day of the race. The competition is divided into male and female categories, with prizes awarded to the first three finishers in each gender.

The race has a strict participation limit of 200 runners. Canicross entries are permitted for this event. Facilities at the Callow Hill Visitor Centre include on-site toilets, though the cafe remains closed during the event. To reduce waste, a self-service water refill station with a tap and cups is positioned at the half-distance mark. All competitors receive a medal and finish goodies upon completing the course.
