Delaware Trail Fest takes place on October 17, 2026 at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware. The event offers multiple trail formats around the lake and uses an age-grading formula to adjust results by age and gender.

Distances and formats

• 12 Hour Lone Wolf: run as many laps as possible within 12 hours; lap approx 7.35 miles.
• 12 Hour 4 Person Relay: teams of four alternate; complete as many laps as possible within 12 hours.
• 24 KM: two laps around the lake.
• 12 KM: one lap around the lake.

Course and aid The course is approximately 70% single track, 10% gravel and 20% wider trails, with mostly flat sections and some rolling trail. Aid stations are spaced about 3 to 4 miles apart, with water and Gatorade at all stations and additional trail fare and carbohydrates available. Runners commonly carry a bottle between aid stations and may bring personal fuel such as gels.

Organisation and timing The event is chip timed. Bibs must be worn on the front and kept visible to protect the timing chip. Bib and swag pickup occur on race day only; there is no expo.

Awards and amenities Every entrant receives a sweatshirt with logo. 12 KM and 24 KM finishers receive a custom finisher hat. 12 Hour Lone Wolf entrants receive milestone awards for certain distances. Top overall and age/gender adjusted places are awarded in applicable events. A trail kitchen will serve participants during the event.

Entry and refunds Registration closes on October 13. Refunds are processed up to 30 days before race day and equal the entry fee minus $10. The organizer may cancel or postpone the event for reasons beyond their control. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
