Delaware Trail Fest
Delaware Trail Fest is a trail running event at Lums Pond State Park in Bear, DE, organized by Uber Endurance Sports. The event offers multiple race formats around the lake and on nearby trails.
Distances and formats include:
- 24 KM two laps around the lake
- 12 KM one lap around the lake
- 12 Hour Lone Wolf run as many laps as possible, lap approx 7.35 miles
- 12 Hour 4 Person Relay team laps, one runner on course at a time
The course is approximately 70% single track, 10% gravel, and 20% wider trails with mostly flat sections and some rolling trail. Swamp Forest Trail is part of the route; small adjustments may be made to avoid wet sections or to achieve exact distances.
Aid stations are spaced about 3 to 4 miles apart, with the main aid station at the start and a second aid station near mile 4. Water and Gatorade will be available and typical trail food will be provided; runners who use specific gels should bring them. The race is chip timed and runners must wear bibs visibly on the front.
There is no expo; bib and swag pickup is on race day only. Every entrant receives a sweatshirt; 12 KM and 24 KM finishers receive a custom finisher hat. Special milestone awards are offered in the 12 Hour Lone Wolf and additional awards are given by overall and age graded results. Registration closes October 13. Entry fees vary by distance.
