About the race
Davos X-Trails is a trail running event held in Davos and Klosters featuring multiple races across alpine terrain. The programme includes a range of distances and formats that start and finish in Davos or begin in Klosters, and several courses include significant elevation gain.
Distances and main characteristics:
- DIAMOND: 68.37 km, Davos to Davos, +/- 3,309 m, route over Scaletta and Sertig passes and multiple high alpine sections.
- DIAMOND TEAM: 68.37 km, team format in three sections of 31 km, 26 km and 11 km.
- GOLD: 42.93 km, Davos to Davos, +/- 1,711 m, shares parts of the Diamond trails.
- SILVER: 23.76 km, Klosters to Davos, +870.40 m / -524.60 m.
- BRONZE: 9.27 km, Davos to Davos, +/- 236.90 m.
- 1K VERTICAL: 6.94 km, Sportzentrum Davos to Jakobshorn, +1,080 m.
- KIDS: between 0.3 and 1.5 km, Sportzentrum Davos Platz, age‑adjusted categories.
The event includes a Kids programme and a Scott Sprint, and it forms part of a broader season with rankings. Organisers provide information on routes, ITRA/UTMB qualification, accommodation and travel. Weather at higher elevations can drop below freezing with possible snowfall, so appropriate clothing and attention to elevation changes are noted.
