Event Overview

David's Trail Endurance Run takes place in Mountain Home, Arkansas, featuring a course that winds through Robinson Point, Panther Bay, and Bidwell parks. The route follows David's Trail along the shores of Norfork Lake within the Ozark Mountains. The terrain consists of a combination of single-track and double-track trails.

The event offers three distinct distances:

  • 50 km
  • 25 km
  • 7 km

The 50 km course includes more than 5,000 feet of elevation gain, while the 25 km course features over 2,500 feet of elevation gain. For the 50 km distance, an overall cutoff time of 9 hours is implemented, requiring an average pace of 16:40 minutes per mile. Runners must also meet specific time limits at designated checkpoints at mile 18.2 and mile 25.5 to continue the race.

This is a cupless event, meaning participants must carry their own hydration equipment, such as a handheld bottle or reservoir, as no disposable cups are provided at aid stations. Runners are also encouraged to bring their own plates and utensils for post-race food. The event is held regardless of weather conditions, including rain, snow, or sleet. Lodging is available at the start and finish location at Rocking Chair Resort, with additional options in the surrounding Mountain Home area. Proceeds from the event are used for trail expansion projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
