David's Trail Endurance Run is a trail race in Mountain Home, Arkansas, near Lake Norfork. The course uses a mix of single-track and double-track trails through the Ozarks. Elevation gain is more than 2,400 ft for the 25K and more than 5,000 ft for the 50K. The event includes three distance options:
- 7K
- 25K
- 50K
Races are held in January and take place in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, or snow. The event meets ATRA event standards. Cash purses are offered for top male and female athletes who break a course record. Prizes and a post-race meal are provided.
Logistics
Location: 278 CR 763, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Packet pickup is available at Rocking Chair Resort on the day before and the morning of the race. The event operates a cupless policy for on-course aid and post-race service; participants are asked to bring their own cups, plates, and utensils. A HyraPak SpeedCup is available for purchase during registration. Friends and family may purchase wristbands to access the post-race meal. Proceeds from the event support trail expansion.
