Course and safety
The surface is well benched single track, mostly flat to undulating, with a significant climb up to Darby Saddle. Drink stations, rubbish bags and first aid are located at the start/finish and at Darby Saddle; participants should carry their own water container or cup. All runners in the 10 km and 21.1 km events must carry at minimum a water bottle/container, a pressure bandage with indicators (for rolled ankle/snake bite), and a mobile phone. The route is shared with other users and is narrow in places; downhill runners have right of way. Snakes are present in the area and should be treated with caution. If a day is declared a code red bushfire day or there is a fire in the area, the event will be rescheduled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
