Courses are marked with ribbon approximately every 200 yards and use color coding by distance. Polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons mark wrong ways. Aid stations are fully stocked roughly every 5 to 9 miles with fresh fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and electrolyte drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations.
