The Crazy Soles Nipika Trail Run is a trail running event at Nipika Mountain Resort on May 30, 2026. The event uses extensive singletrack trails on the resort property and trails within the Cross River Canyon Recreation Site, with sections along the Kootenay and Cross Rivers.

Distances offered:

• 25 km : Male/Female categories: under-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
• 15 km : Male/Female single category
• 10 km : Male/Female recreational category
• 5 km : Male/Female recreational category
• 2.5 km : kids run, day-of registration allowed for this event only

The 25 km course combines a 10 km loop and a 15 km loop. The 15 km loop follows the Kootenay Krusher trail on the south network, while the 10 km loop runs on the north network. The 5 km and 2.5 km loops include some singletrack and stay close to the meadow area.

Awards are presented for all age classifications in the 25 km and for top male and female in the 15 km and 10 km distances. Draw prizes are offered to participants. Timing is hand-based rather than chip-based, which can reduce accuracy when large groups finish together. Accommodation options include luxury cabins and primitive camping at Nipika; additional lodging options are available in Radium Hot Springs, about a 35 minute drive away.
